VoIP.ms is the kind of service that can unlock a lot of small business freedom, but it is not always the simplest option. That is part of why this page exists.
I use VoIP.ms because it gives me flexibility: low-cost phone numbers, call routing, SIP accounts, voicemail options, SMS features, and the ability to build a phone system around real business needs instead of a one-size-fits-all plan.
The tradeoff is that the learning curve can be steep. If you want someone to do everything for you, a managed provider may be better. But if you are comfortable learning, testing, and thinking through call flows, VoIP.ms can be incredibly useful.
